The steel dash support had to be spot welded in, the 36 factory nail holes and 37 spot weld are spaced the same. Filled the firewall holes and old holes from the visor also.

Spent tonight stripping about 6 layers of old farm paint off the grill shell only 2 more to go. My plan is to get the grill/radiator/core support painted and assembled so I can fire up the little 283.
The original corvette valve covers came from my pops wall art collection. I bought the old Offy 2 inch carb spacer for a couple of bucks.

  8. Good to see you back. Bigger pictures would be great if you can. When the thumbnails open they are barely any bigger than unopen.:D

Much better now we can see where that generator is supposed to sit

  11. Beauty thanks!

  12. Maybe if you move that alternator out of the way you could put in a bigger generator.

    Just sayin...

sorry to get off topic a little here but can anyone tell me what size steelies fit the 36 pickups? my dad has one he has been messing with for a couple months now and after getting it painted he took off the wheels to clean them up and paint them but they are shot to the point we think the arent usuable. So we would like to just put reverse steelies on it. any help is much appreciated thanks

Test fitting everything for the last time before paint.

Cab fits good now with all mounts in place. Just set the hood on to ball park grill location.

Took a break from the 36 to clean out the garage. Ive been moving these extra 34 parts around for couple of years. Today I bolted it all together. Think its going on craigslist, shame to just stash it all away when it could be a fun project for someone.

    Hey Skippy

What kind of spacing did you use between cab and mounts?
IMHO--The closer it is, the closer the running boards are to the cab
