Got it all welded up yesterday and last night. It fits pretty darn nice. It's not perfect but a whole lot better then it was. Will do some bondo work on it today, re-prime it and put it back on. I need to work out the latch yet.
Chopper It's the rt one. The 31 Cheys over lapped the body unlike the 32s sitting down into the body. Its beat up and will need a good bit of body work. Im going to do the body work on it today and get it back in primer but in the end the whole car will need to have body work done when its time to paint it. Everything left with primer on it is dents. Looks like I will be working on it for a while today.
Carl, man it looks GREAT! Glad the lid worked out for you. That pneumatic board really cuts down on the sanding time, I'm still sanding with just a straightboard. I think patience is the key (something I don't have)I know what you mean about bondo, I hate it, but you got it under control, it's really looking good!
All Done, Turned out great. Just had to stay on it. Looks better and has also cut down on the rattles.

On the Hamb at work. Its OK, We all share the same problem, Morning noon and Night. Some times after bed we have to get up and check on things but that OK. The only fix is hang out in the shop and get something done.
Well , hey -yo wo-hay -yo. WTF hahahah So as we all know its been a great summer and the nights are getting cool. What a summer it was, lots of boating, hanging with friends, Hot Rodding and we cant forget the old mighty lets feel good by popping a cold beer on a hot summer night with momma and friends. Hell I cant forget that Brad and I have been welcomed into the SFCC, Thats just to Cool man!!, Thanks brothers. Well its not over yet!!! The cool nights of working in the shop and just taken a cool ride are about to kick in. I'm diggen it man. Deb and I have just about every weekend scheduled for the fall and just to keep Deb happy I'm working on installing some glass in the car and maybe some heat. But for now I'm installing the window cranks and making the support that will support for the glass as it goes up and down. The Blue channel is from an old bed frame. Parts and pieces are from ace hardware like screws, 1/4" steel rod and roller wheels from a sliding glass door. I have some 1/8" plexy glass that I will use to fit the door and then I will make templets from that to have tempered door glass made before everything is complete. The felt strips are from one of my VW parts supply guys, Clyde. I bent all the felt strip into the corners and then screwed them into the wood and glued the hinge side to the door. So here is where I'm at as of tonight. Dam that was way to mutch for me to read!!!
