Well, I said we'd build a 500HP flathead, and go 175 mph. We were close!

We set 2 records, XXO\BVGCC is 149.252, and XXO/BVGALT is 154.832. We had 3 runs over 162 mph, with the fastest being 165.949.

We were shutting down after 2 miles, so the records are in the 1-2 mile. A slipping clutch kept us from our 175 mph goal, but we're pretty happy with this 'ol flathead'!

Thank you for all the support!

    Next year-190 mph!

    I love that last pic!

Buddy how about some record T shirts with a red picture of the car on them, especially that from the pic's above as it looks real good.

  6. Well done. Man that's one trick fatty good to see a newzealand team get a record even if it's not in a hamb friendly car

  7. Saw the video. That thing sounds awesome! Congrats on the records. Well done.

Thanks everyone!!! The support here has been great!

I'm not sure what you mean by New Zealand team and not a HAMB friendly car. Can you please explain your thoughts to me?

...Although we'll gladly claim to be from New Zealand, if there are pit girls involved!:D

Back in the 1960's there was a local guy that had them NOS Army surplus in crates stacked 3 high. All in restored cars now. Bob

The guy has run two subjects into one
First off he is congratulating you on athe successes you trruly deserve - all your hard work has paid off and will continue to do so as yopu refine the car
    2. He should have used better sentencing as here in NZ we are proud of a Nelson New Zealand based team that took out the under 1000cc class at Bonneville with a 1964 Austin Mini.

    So two congratualtions in one

And sorry no Pit Girls were allowed or intyroduced in the typing of this replY !!!

    No pit girls??!!

Thanks for clarifying that! I didn't take it as negative, but I was confused by the statement. Congrats to the Nelson New Zealand based team!

  28. Awsome pics!
Thanks again for letting me hang out with you guys
