I arrived Wednesday. Lots of cars running including a few that I have not seen covered here as far as I could tell.

    Mmmmm, Salt.

Can't get enough of this streamliner. Built in Wichita Kansas by Tom Hanna.

Doug, did I mention that I recently married Carol, who teaches photography at Apple and shares her equipment and vast knowledge with me?

Thanks. It's the same sunrise as the first shot, taken about 300 feet to the southeast, but using a graduated neutral density filter on the sky. I'm just starting to experiment with those and sometimes I get lucky.

Thanks. She was my teacher first and she liked the car shots in my iPhoto library.

This car actually had onboard hydraulic lifts. Or maybe that's common...I don't know. Turns out real hot rods do "lay frame". Excellent use of flat finish.

I'm with you on that one, in all valleys! Impossible to fully appreciate in photos. You'll see more of the '34 before this thing runs its course.

Lee's buddy...senior moment on your name...?? Did you know that Lee found his original tufted Mc Fall upholstery from the old Nomad on Ebay and got it? Pretty good shape too, for use in the new car.

I know, I've been meaning to for quite a while now, never plan ahead. So I just decided to go on a whim Monday.

  25. Great pics Tom. It's really cool to see all the pics from different photographers. Everyone has a different perspective, just like the competitors.

How the heck do you do this? I thought this kind of turning was done on a mill? Love it. And that maroon roadster. Gary

  30. You can do it freehand with a die grinder or drill. Takes practice.

    Nice shots Tom!
