I like the concept, but the execution isn't that great. The proportions are just too exaggerated.

I believe this one's for sale. Larry Hook owns it.

If you can overlook that it's a Willys, it's not bad. It has some 40s-50s European style to it.

Well, sort of. My guess is that the builder was going for that look. But the reaction here is about the same as it would be from the Pebble Beach crowd if a Bugatti Atlantic showed up with a blown 392, rear slicks and raised front end. Although I'd pay to see their heads explode.

  16. Point well put. But Willys and Customizing in my opinion shouldn't be said in the same sentence!!
    I agree with Weasel .....

Yeah, me, too. The proportions of the Willys, especially the 40-42 Coupes, are what I'd call perfect. I, personally, don't like them chopped. My favorite is Ron Ellis' 1942 black coupe, which is all stock, with every last piece of chrome trim still on it, with a sixties gasser stance and blower Hemi. Just my 2c.

Dave, the blue sedan in the grainy photo is Vinny Tarantola's(Vitar Transmissions)Wee Willy CC/G car. I Was at E'town the day this pic was taken. The next time I saw it it had been pro streeted. This was before the nostalgia scene took off. Haven't seen the car since.
