On a 1973 Small block Chevy...swapping to a TBI setup.

When removing the fuel pump to use an in-line pump for the Throttle Body Injection, do I leave the fuel pump pushrod in the block?

Will removing the rod effect oil pressure?
Can leaving the rod in cause any damage?

It will not effect the oil pressure it gets oiled by splash from cam not full pressure from anywhere. Oil will splash into and drain out of the area just like it did before.

You have to take the fuel pump plate off and put a block off plane on anyhow so there is no reason not to remove the pushrod.
