    Kysor Heater Cooking Pot
This exhaust heat exchanger, designed by Walter Kysor, is seen here on his 1926 Oldsmobile. The caption reads, Walter would place a beef roast, vegetables, potatoes, etc. in the pot with some water and then with friends and customers drive to places along the Manistee River . . . .and set up a folding table and dish out the food which by that time had been amply cooked.

What I find unique is that the Victorian era women are smiling. Normally such photos required an air of "proper constraint" among those being photographed. Obviously the Thelma and Louise of the era.

  19. I think many communities used to have Used Car Lots like the one shown here that sold 'creampuffs' similar to those cars to unsuspecting customers at a really great bargain. . .

Usually back then, they called lady stock car races PowderPuff Derbys - Somehow PowderPuff doesn't seem to stick with this lineup.

  25. As an old sign guy, I can tell you that is some fine hand lettering. Beautiful script. Very unusual font but nicely done.
