We (Gerry & I) got to Joplin on Wednsday evening, he went to Ryno's house and went to the Hotel and crashed. Thursday I headed to Springfield to meet up with Earl Scheib and set up our swap space.

On the way over to Springpatch the Ol Chebby turned over another big number.

BTW here is a pic of the newley Shorn Earl Scheib.

Yeah, he has cut off his Skullett and not only that, he donated the hairs to one of those programs for folks with cancer.

    GOOD ON YA BUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While looking for our swap space we spotted this and I thought of my good buddy Scarry Larry in Pa. I called him and sent him a picture and he said, BUY IT! It will shortly be in the capable hands of Ben D and on it's way to PA.

We don't know where it came from or what it is supposed to represent.
Does anyone out there recognize it.

Lot's of action in the parking lot last night, Music, Bull Shit, cars and more cars. I left the camera in the room but I am sure that someone else will post parking lot pictures.

  12. No, but I called the boys and talked to them last night. My ritual when I can't make it. And at sunrise tomorrow I will look East since I can't watch it from the Hotel parking lot!

    Bob,
Blue Highways is one of my alltime favorite books. I got it from my grandmother 20 yrs. or more ago.
Trip sounds like the adventure of a lifetime. I'm going to have to try that Bourbon Shake.

    All the best,
    Jim

    Bob,
That is "Captain Crook" from Mcdonalds......What you have there is a topper to a old 50's playground sprial slide......I have a complete slide, You do not see them much anymore As Mcdonalds was supposed to destroy them when they were taken down, I only know of 4 other complete slides other than mine in the whole damned country....I have seen a few of just the toppers like what you have, And they sell anywhere from $300-$1500.00 hope my info helps.

  18. The hot and cold water towers are in Pratt, KS, i grew up there and long before i was dreamed of the local kids painted it on them and the city got tired of painting over it and decided to make it official. I always thought if was pretty neat. Thanks for the pics

Bob, congrats on turning 155,000 miles on the chevy. that has to be one of the Top 10 if not Top 5 highest miles put on a HotRod., especially in the number of years your ride has been on the road..
