I've owned both. There is no comparison. The Moons are an entirely different and vastly superior product by far! The only similarity is they are both round. I assume your looking for 15". I just gave a set of Speedways to Yankee Dave on here because I didn't want to put them on a car. If you PM him you can probably pick them up for free.

Same goes for the spun aluminum tanks. Not knocking the Speedway stuff, it is what it is, and I buy a lot from them, just saying there's a big difference!

  3. I've run both and can assure you the Moon Disc are far superior in appearance. HRP

theres nothing wrong with trying to save a lil dough BUT sometimes you have to buy brand name parts or it aint gonna be right.

  5. Well let me ask you this, would you really buy wheel covers from a man that sells used head gaskets?

thanks for the help, you confirmed my suspicions. I ran the real thing in the '50s so that's what I"ll go with this time as well.

uh, if you're talking about the ones I bought in 1957, I did buy them from a local speed shop who got them from Dean Moon, I guess that made them original

Don't you fasten the real ones on with screws? Or do they have "real" ones that pop on now?

if I remember correctly the snap on discs were available about the same time as the screw on kind. My '53 Ford had both in 1958.
