Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by vintagehotrods, Aug 12, 2012.

  1. Awesome pictures! Congratulations on such a fine line up.

  2. Damn, that's quite the fleet of cars!
Glad it all went well for you.
    I also love Arizona

  3. Did the old adage, "Don't put your eggs in one basket" occur to you?

Welcome to AZAnd you did it right!!! Prescott is the best place to be in this state. one or two days a year of light snow, and about 100 on the worst days. Nice collection too.

Not that you can't make your own friends, but I have a good buddy up the road in Chino that is a 50 year hot rodder and knows everybody on this planet involved in this stuff. If you'd like an introduction, shoot me a P.M.

  5. What a great thread. Glad the move went smoothly and safely. Fabulous line-up you have there. Enjoy Arizona.

Very nice collection! I wouldve ran off the road trying to follow you guys. Hows Prescott? Hopefully moving there, or Payson area, by the end of this year. Bringing my dads 70's sports cars and my 50 Ford. Great post!

Nice smooth move, isn't it great!

You are out of the wet heat into the dry heat!

We lived just down the road from you in Siox City for almosy 7 years.
I could not believe the high temps with such wicked humidity!

    Enjoy your new residence.

Did you lose the spare tire cover off of the black 34 3w? Nice collection...thanks for sharing the experience. Neal

  12. Maybe we could work out a deal. I could build your shop for the nomad, then it would not have to sit outside. Welcome to az.

  14. Since we had the 3W in front of it we rolled the 5W back to the ramp and hooked up a stretch strap to it and backed it down slowly with the 3W holding it back. Then we pulled it up to the house. It actually worked out pretty well. I'm so glad to be finally getting back to my hot rods and I'm hoping by next May I can get out to see you and Randy for the All Deuce Run. I've been wanting to do that for years!

I would have been a nervous wreck with all that stuff on one truck. Really glad you are getting your stuff to AZ. I've said it before, but that has to be the most impressive collection of Deuce stuff I've ever seen.

By the way Jerry, I have plenty of room in my garage for the Nomad... I'll take good care of it til you get the garage built. :D

  18. In Kansas on US 54 we were coming out of a town and it was four lanes wide. I was behind Josh when a car blew by me and rode by the truck for a long time looking at the cars. Unfortunately the highway narrowed to two lanes again and he wasn't noticing it. Finally Josh had to move over and signaled and the guy finally noticed and moved on. Later on a guy in a grain truck passed me when another car was oncoming and the oncoming car and I both had to drive on the shoulder for him to get by. And I was doing the 70 MPH speed limit. Then the moron turns off at a grain terminal a few miles up the road. What an idiot!

Glad I didn't see that going down the road... I hear distracted driving can be dangerous!

Well if that wasnt the coolest truck on the road during that period, I'd argue it.
Welcome to the AZ. Those are all very nice.
I'm the guy they complain about.

I started to be envious of all those cars, but then I remembered the words I try to live by: Anything worth doing is worth doing to excess!! :) Welcome to AZ ... it's nice to see more great cars coming here to live.

  25. Hi Kurt! The weather is nice down here but with the warm winter you had last year I was wondering what was going on when in March we had a foot of snow in Prescott while it was 83 degrees in Sioux Falls! My Whitewood property needs to be sold since I'm here for good now. If you know anyone that wants to buy them let me know.

What? No new shots of your underground garage/Batcave? Sweet Fleet!

  28. Yes, right about the time we were going through Great Bend, KS at 11:00 at night right into a big thunderstorm with some nasty lightning. I grew up in the midwest and was thinking this was going to be big hail but luckily it was really heavy rain for about 20 miles until we drove out of it. Phew!!!
