    The Shifter is in too!

The Carbs and air cleaner are on too.

There's still a long list to do..

    • We need to patch the firewall and cover the heater box opening
    • Plumb Brakes
    • Plumb Fuel System
    • Mount Font Clip
    • Radiator mounting fabrication
    • Ignition, fuel pump, starter button wiring
    • Hood...... (Maybe)
That is the big item short list.

Here's a few pics of the rear tires inside the fenders!

There's more room on the drivers side, not sure if its the body to frame mounts or the way the quarters were repaired. Either way they fit!!!!

  3. BTW.... we need some headlight trim rings. We cant seem to find the one (1) we had.

    Black or Stainless/Chrome are good.

    Thanks!

Here's a shot of the axles....!

Worked on the fuel system last night. I bought a 25' roll of steel 3/8 line.

NIGHTMARE! that is the hardest shot to work with, can't bend it. I'm re-thinking my strategy.

  13. I got a call from the upholstery guy, he needed a pattern for the rear package tray.

Ok, Ive been working on the brakes, and with the headers there is no room for the roll control valve and the proportioning valve. So I came up with a bracket that I can weld to the frame under the drivers feet/seat.

I got it welded and mounted late last night.

Afterwards I started thinking that the R/C is going to have to be inline after the prop valve, so I have to re-plumb that. I think this will work.

I also got all the rear brake lines plumbed!

The Fuel lines are plumbed from tank to far side of pump, I need to teflon and tighten every thing up.

Dad got all the clutch linkage off, we extended the lever an inch, he drilled the hole and painted it. Should go back in today.

I left the shop at 11pm to do some shopping, lucky me, they had my favorite ice cream!

Worked most of the day - got the rear brake shoes finished up (had to pull out the old 1960 edition of Auto Repair to see which shoe went on the front and rear of the drum) - got lots of little odds and ends done - got the shifter linkage installed - got the clutch linkage hooked up - installed new needle valves in the carbs - hooked up the throttle linkage - steering arms etc all tightened up - forgot to check the motor mount bolts - best not forget them - STILL LOOKING FOR OUTER HEADLIGHT TRIM RINGS - NEED THEM FAST - finished for the night - still lots to do though - - - STNICK

Just a thought on the fuel system, you may want to use a flex connection from the pump to the hard line,it will help cancel some of the pump noise and help keep the hard line from fracturing.I like the way you mounted your brake controls. ROY.

Looks great, But I wouldn't use any teflon on fuel lines or most anything else.

StNick had to do some scrambling the last couple of weeks to get it done, it turned out really nice! I cant wait to see it in the car!!

Today we tag teamed, I took to the brake lines, I got them all in except the ones from the MC to the prop valve. Should be easy right. If I had the headers to do over again I would have given myself a little more room on the firewall clearance. I'm not sure where I'm going to run them yet. They might go through the fire wall and out the floor? I'm just concerned with the heat.

Dad got the the fancy dash put together, it is super sweet with all the SW gauges!!

    All the lights wired too!!

A little preface before the following video....

The local"Coffee Clutch" crew comes to StNick's bachelor kitchen table every morning to get away from their wives. Its kind of like the doughnut shop without the carbs. Well these rascals have been heckling him for some years now, "We'll never see that thing burn rubber"

StNick hasn't ever had the experience of a Hurst Roll Control. After I explained it, I made a suggestion, give them an early morning visit, pre-coffee hours, pull on to the driveway slab and "CLICK"........ errrrrRRRREEEEECCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

He was "in Stiches" over it, we were both in tears laughing about the burn outs he can lay on his friends.

Today I thought I'd try to recapture a little of that hysteria...

Who's the funny guy behind the camera.....?
