If the 34' tudor isn't Bonneville bound this is where I'll be for sure. It's a good time, a great atmosphere with great people.

Check out www.gilmorecarmuseum.org to see what the grounds look like, the restored diner, the 30's shell station , and the all new automotive heritage building. this new building has a 60 person indoor theatre that we will be running old hot rod/ chopper flicks throuhout the weekend.

  5. Great Event. We had a nice road trip over last year from Detroit. Awesome area and place to have a show. Plan to be there again this year.

Last year was the first year that I went to this show. I had a great time camping the night before and the pre-party. I had never been to the Gilmore Museum before this either and I spent most of my day there looking at the museum. The show and the museum were both great. I hope for no rain this year.

Looking forward to this show - hope it doesn't rain this year like it did last year!

Gilmore has a swap meet a few weeks before this show that was quite big - does anyone know when that happens this year?

Also, when is the Grand Rapids cruise down 28th St?

The big show at Gimores a few weeks before the riot is called the red barns spectacular. First weekend of Aug. www.gilmorecarmuseum.com will give you an exact date. As far as the 28th st cruise, rumors are there won't be one this year.

That is why we all go - better than Woodward, great driving the car there and an awesome day when we get there.

  25. Lets see you can actually drive your car there. It's a nice ride, the place is awesome.........Woodward - crowded, 50 bucks to park , lots of familys in thier minivans "looking at old cars"... sorry last time I was there was probably 9-10 years ago and when I parked some guy came up and wanted money or was gonna call the cops I split. Screw that place. Hit the riot......it's a riot!

I couldn't agree more about the Woodward cruise. It's nice to hit the week prior as you can actually move but on the Sat. the 18th forget it.

Back to the Bricks 1/2 north in Flint is better than the Woodward cruise but Gilmore on that Sat. beats them both. Great atmosphere, great people and great cars worth the drive to look at.

This one cool place to have a hot rod show, love the ride up from Indy, and the people that put the show on are great. There are a lot of cool hot rods and customs that show up to this, plus there are hugh barns that have cars that you will never see at any other show,or for that matter, at the Woodward cruise parking lot. Do not miss this show, I'll be there in my 27T. See you there.

As long as theres no rain ill be there. Anyone on the east side meeting up to drive down there?

  30. I am so bummed... Soccer tournaments and such prevent me from going this year. We have really had a blast in the past at this one. hardly a cooler venue on the planet... Meanwhile, the Olds is running and driving anyway.
