    Great story, you did good. Not many of our WWII vets left. Lost my Harley riding 92 year old WWII buddy a year ago. Different breed of man they were.

    must be somthing to do with thoes 77 birds my grandmouther had on she bought new fall of 76 drove it every day till she pased in 05. i have the car now run it once in a while

    This is a wonderful story.

    We read and hear in the news so many sad, cruel, intolerant, divisive things that it sometimes seems that decent, thoughtful, caring things done for people no longer happen. There's a big book somewhere that has stars next to your name in it.

    Great story! Get him to drive it to a local cuise in/car show...with you riding shotgun. I bet he would be have a ear to ear smile.
