interested in mite cars

    hey everybody ! i'm new to the site as you can tell ! I'm into finding out more about mite cars from my dad's day with these cars. Around 1947 to 1953. Any help would be appreciated greatly !!!!

    Ok. A search returned results saying they are tether cars. :)

    the mite tether cars were a small 8 to 12 in. race car, powered by .009 and up, nitro/castor oil burning miniature car. they got there name "tether car" from the cable in the center of the race track. the cars were run on a circular track, and timed for 1/4 mile speeds. back in the late 40's, my dads car would run 112.5 mph in a 1/4!
