Well I started a thread for the roadster run so I better start one for the Reliability Run.

Here is the flier for this year.....

It is not on Labor Day Weekend this year but the week before, as I hope to be in Minnesota helping my brothers with the messaround.

and here is a link to last years run....

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=626316

And here is the 5th year with a video of the year before

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=500565

And honestly if you search northern california reliability run on here you will find some other photos and videos.

I have always done this for the fun of it, and we do have some fun.

Some of the small block chevy guys will tell you what fun it is keeping up with our tired old flatheads ;)

If you are coming please contact me, so I can get a head count for coffee and donuts, and to let the lunch spot know how many of us are coming.

Hope to see you out there on the road.

    thanks

It was great to see you last weekend Dave. I'm thrashing on the RPU to make the August run. We should make it. Donuts just taste better in Northern California.

So we went and scouted the route last weekend after the Dragoons Night of the Hot Rods.

This is definitely the most elevation gain and drop of any of the runs.

We start at sea level, climb up to 3,800 ft. and end the day at sea level again.

here we are half way up the mountain.....

And then this was the view from the top, pretty incredible....

We were the only hot rod that day, but you guys will be there next time, right :)

Now I will mention this now, there is a $10 fee to go up to the top of the mountain.
It goes to the parks dept, and honestly it was worth it for me.

But I don't want anyone to be surprised. And if you don't want to pay, you don't have to
go up the mountain. You can still go on the run for free.

I am really looking forward to this years run, there are some incredible views beyond just the top of the mountain.

We are going to have lunch at a famous east bay establishment that started in 1934.

We will start in Antioch at the River View Lodge, where we ended the run last year, and
where the Dragoons host Night of the Hot Rods.

So some of you east bay and valley hot rodders should come out for a drive this year.

Please let me know if you are coming, so we can have directions and door tags for you.

And yes, my 50 day hot rod build has now been on two 150 mile test drives, lol. we
actually have been driving it a lot more than that.

    Cheers

Dave your Hot Rod looks great! Still thrashing and hoping for paint soon. If the stars line up I'll see you in the parking lot.
