I got my birthday present today, even if I had to buy it myself, my pieces came back from being chromed. The pieces I made from scratch, before And after a dip in Spcaecoast Plating's chrome vats.
Also my instrument pods got the treatment I can't say enough about Spacecoast's work, it's top notch, not some spray on chrome bullshit being touted by nicmarvin on that space waste of a thread, with two stroke bike parts and other sundry crap that has nothing to do with tradition or hot rodding.
You're going to have to wear sunglasses on a cloudy day with those pods! Even in the pictures you can tell the quality of their work. I can only imagine what they look like in person.
Looking good Nads! Where would we all be without Skip? Thank God we have someone around that is so willing to help out all the time! And happy birthday "silver nuts"!!
Ohhhh those look great, I can't wait to see the grill installed. Everyone told me to chrome my guage housings, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Did you do the garnish moldings too?
Draping a dark cloth over the dash will help out. This car is shaping up to be a stand alone custom. It will stay fresh and never become dated.
You're going to need some of those Dwayne Wayne sunglasses, but hinged at the bottom and leave them at a 45 degree angle to drive around with that dash. Worth it though.
Those 52 pages are 2 1/2 years of work, and it ain't over yet, thanks for the compliments it means a lot to me. I cleaned my garage today, another accomplishment.
Wow, she really looks great! And fantastic work on those headlight bezel parts! You're going to be the top hotshot in Florida building a sled like that!
nads im so glad to see you finally got this thing painted , it looks amazing and i cant wait untile you get all the chrome back on her .
What a pain in the ass, the support had to be split in two because it's a California 1 piece bumper. I had to take it all apart again, the splash pans and license plate surround have to be assembled first and the installed on the bumper, then the supports can be bolted on. I ran out of nuts and bolts because there's a million of 'em. It's gonna take three people to put this on the car, it it is incredibly heavy. My son Miles helped me a bunch last night.
F*cking California and there inconvenient rust-free crap! Car is looking great, Nads...you've really made quick work of this, and it can't only be me that appreciates the fact that you share the times that you'd rather slam your head against the wall as well as the triumphs...
