I saw a small post in a magazine that someone was manufacturing a new steel 32 5 window coupe body but they didn't say who the manufacturer was. Anyone know if it's true?

Not quite all done, but looked pretty good. I'd probably wait till they get a few done to venture a decision.

I'd like to see what their garnish moldings look like.

I bet steel from China is easyer to chrome than fiberglass from the USA...

  10. Hopefully they will have the sense (like Brookville) to offer most of the 5-window specific panels to help out all the guys that bought roached bodies recently...

Like others have said...look forward to a side by side comparison.

  11. The word "Ford" doesn't appear on that sign...

Can they sell it as long as they never mention Ford?

I believe the same guys that are making the bodies are also making the rain gutter that are out now. and i have installed a set of the rain gutters and they are a dead nuts match to the real ones. very surprised in the quality of the repo part. I have put a bunch of roached out 5 window together and it would be good to have these parts available. plus the cowl forward will also work with sedans and for doors a good opportunity in selling parts.

  15. this is interesting but they can keep their chinese products. its not a ford.

Weren't some of the Henry bodies, Murry? Canadian? I am with rex, optimistic until shown differently. When I am closer to a body purchase, I would love to see one in person, and talk to the body man that prepped/painted it.

so...if Brookville ROADSTER makes a 3W or a 5W will the have to change the name of the company?

I'll wait until I get to touch one of these Taiwanese products before I whine about non-USA source.

Brookville builds the three window and it does not seem to have hurt original 32 prices at all.

I saw one of the Tiawanese bodies at GNRS this last weekend and was WAY underwhelmed. Quite a few of the stamping were wavy at the character lines, and the quarter window sections were lapped over the quarters and spotted from the inside. The passenger side was at least overhanging 3/16" the reveal on the quarter. I'm sorry, I wanted to be, but I wasn't even close to impressed. My only thought was, "if this is the one they hand selected for the biggest indoor show on the planet to impress their target audience, how bad would regular production be?".
