Hiya.. My name is Kristin and I'm in the western suburbs of IL. My husband just got me a classic of my own. A 65' Ford Custom 500. It is a 4 door, has a 289 and 3 on the tree. Those box Fords are great cars and the engine is easy to get parts for. Good choice if this is a first time project for you. Even though this is an off-topic year for this board, don't let that discourage you. The 289 has followers here and you need only search through the myriad of 260/289/302 SBF threads here. I would also go and check out the Galaxie social group here and feel free to ask questions there. I would also recommend the Los Boulevardos website since a few of the members on that board have '65-'66 Galaxies. Post up pics and let us know what you are thinking of doing to your new ride.
