Yep, the newer Cherry bomb flow-thru w/a steel rectangular box construction. Has a nice note, and I plan for a resonator to tune out the peak rpm note at ~2200rpm. 2.0 Ford DOHC Duratec motor.

I think by now, everyone knows our mufflers are the real deal! The sound clips are true and they are constructed the same way as they were back in the day! Hand-crafted, made in the USA, and same 14 gauge steel tubing. Heavy duty, each one weighs 10-11 lbs. (depending on size). We still have customers come in with Porters from 25 years ago still on their cars and want to finally replace them with a new set.
Thanks everyone who has supported us in re-launching these FAMOUS mufflers!
We are giving away a muffler today, 10:00am Central time. See rules on CONTEST thread (It's a sticky)

I dunno what it is with you guys and exhaust notes, but any of the pack mufflers sound like crap to me. Flowmasters or nothin here.

Just what I'm looking for. I want my next one to be so quiet that all I can hear is the fan blade turn. Any ideas?

That would be my Vicky on their website. When they first started to reproduce them I talked with Clark and took a shot they'd be the real deal.......they are.

And they have a reputation for not costing much power either, unlike all of the mufflers on the list. Unless its a 100% absolutely period-correct '50s hot rod, none of the mufflers on the original poll with even make my short list.
If it IS a 100% absolutely period-correct '50s hot rod, smittys.

I track tested 2 chamber 3.5" flowmasters against Dynomax 3.5" bullets, no contest. The dynomaxes were more than a tenth better. Both of them were LOUD AS HELL, but it was a pretty healthy motor. The no-flowmasters were a little quieter at idle, but at WOT there was no discernible difference in noise level. One thing about the flowmasters, if you are running a REALLY big cam, all that popping and banging at part throttle cruise that makes a mild motor sound badd-ass becomes REALLY OBNOXIOUS with a big cam thats still loping at cruise speed. I preffered the bullets, while they were a tad louder, they werent as annoying. With the flowmasters, I wound up wearing earplugs if I was going to be in the car for very long.

Have any of you guys tried the auger style mufflers from speedway? I put one in line with my OT vehicle's muffler (because it's a V6 and sounds like crap); it made it a little bit quieter and really changed the overall tone (to a much more bearable one).

Im tryin to decide on mufflers for the 56 F100 now. Flowmasters everyone seems to have.
I ran cherrybombs on my Challenger in the 70's liked them, but my memory is getting nostalgic.
What I dont like is a ratty sound with popping and cracking under deacceleration. The motor Im running is a 302 Ford.
