I know what I'd do. I'd pull my flathead out of it's hiding place and stick it in it and go.

One of my buddies had one that same year and same color in high school. The gals didn't seem to like trucks in those days though.

the VW belongs to my oldest son,i recused it from a local scrapper along with the pinto, the bus is the main the neighbors are pissed, all that hammering & sanding just messes with their hangovers, should be painted before the end of the month,we had less than $ 750 in it,

I don't know-- i have mixed emotions on the deal,it is a good running little car,That's where my wife is pissed i traded a running car for a P.O.S truck, but she knows i'll fix it or flip it, i look at as i saved another one from the crusher,
i soon i finish the bus i'll start rounding up crap for it,-----------NOW where i put that S10??

Hey, It's already got the brackets for a Bonneville pushboard on it. those ugly posts sticking up sure saved the grill and I'd bet they were part of an overhead rack for something.

I don't think it will have any trouble finding a new home if that is what needs to transpire or it should be pretty easy to put together and get running if you have an engine for it.

You did good on the trade. Cars like that pinto are hard to move. You see similar cars all the time on craiglist $3000, $2500, $2000 then trade for?
Just because its old doesnt mean its worth money. We use to use cars like that for parts to build the old stuff up now people collect them.
Drop an engine in that truck and get it mobile and she will see the vision.

  17. 6:30?,why would anybody still be asleep?,:D,

    Nice looking project.HRP

  18. welp...this is what I did with mine a few years ago:
80 Z-28 subframe, 301 SBC with a 350 turbo, 9 inch ford rear on top of springs [4 leaves] with a "c" channel in the frame rails.
