The fact that they have been on the car for over 50 years means nothing. They are still weird, wacky and un-cool. The fact that he owns a set of non-cut doors proves it if you ask me.

Before ANYONE does anything they better consult with F-head.

...I wonder if the guy who wacked the crap out of those Roadster doors kept the pieces?

yea, that stuff is pretty dated and old fashioned. He should yank the fenders and double z the chassis, or at least bag it, so it conforms to the HAMB vision of Neo-traditionalism. Sorta like chopped duece shells on channeled '34s, or cycle fenders. Next thing you know, people will be thinking it was built in the fifties or something. UUUGH!

Nope, I'd just put his uncut doors on it.

  10. I would take a poll to see if it was okay with everyone else first. Ha ha. This site is getting weird.

Heres one i found recently. Itwas 5 miles from me. It had been sitting in the woods for the last 50 yrs. The owner was surprised that anyone would even want it.

Still not real sure what I'm going to do with this one, build it, sell it, shove it in a corner for a few years and decide later?

  18. I remember seeing it piled on your trailer right after you bought it at the Father's day show! Do that thing justice, build it!!!

It was a real unexpected purchase, lined up for the swap meet Thursday night and this guy pulls in a few rows over Friday morning. I wasn't planning on buying anything, I had closed on my house a few weeks before and was broke, somehow Miguel / Migoozi on here convinced me I needed it. It was priced right and came with a bunch of extras including the clapped out unregistered trailer it was sitting on.
A few months back I cleaned it up a little and decided to try and keep it, then a 32 3 window body popped up and I'm broke again :) No money to work on either for now, I hope I'm not turning into one of those "I'll get to it one of these months/years/decades" guys

  27. Here's my old 34 with 33 front sheetmetal, doors converted to 33 style adn 34 chevy hoodsides..have a built 370 Pontiac engine for it, camaro 5 speed and a winters Q/C rear.
Started with a totally rusted, stripped, gutted 34 race car body, a really decent 34 chassis with a heavy 32 dropped axle I had jet-hot coated and I drilled the shit ouf ot it.
Had to go to Steve's auto restorations for new roadster quarters, found doors in Florida, better cowl locally, 34 2 door sedan door tops..man, the list goes on and on.
Hope to get it home from the body shop in a few months.
