I think the green 55 is the same car with a color change and suspension work, if so I love the green version !!

Just wondering What kind of car are the two chrome pieces off of on the two front fenders?

  5. Switched my 210 side spears for Bel Air pieces, and customized them a bit:

Did you widen the wells on both your cars or just move the springs in?
Also, what size rear tires are you running? Both look great.

    Thanks

Here is a 55 that some of you may enjoy. It might also be too Billet for some of you, but hopefully those of you can overlook it, for the ones that will enjoy it.

It has a lot of modifications, some large, and some small.

It is running a Bill Mitchell Hardcore Products, Small Block 427 ci motor with 530 HP and is sitting on an Art Morisson Chassis. Some of the customizations include the motorized remote taillight filler door, smoothed cowl, smoothed remote operated doors, handmade park lights with that area smoothed out, smoothed firewall, handmade smooth inner wheel wells and radiator covers, removed passenger side dash hump and smoothed the rest of the dash, the front bumper was moved back a couple of inches and the back legs of it shortened up as well as the sheet metal behind it had to have a few inches removed to allow it, both bumpers smoothed, I believe the rear 1/4 panels were cheated out a bit by the wheels to allow more clearance with larger wheels, complete stainless exhaust and gas tank, top hood ornament removed and center line extended forward and backward onto cowl, stainless grille insert, license Plate sunk in, vent window removed, and I am sure I am forgetting a handful of things. Pretty much, a lot of time and effort went into this car.

  8. if you are talking about the item at the top of the fender at the front, those are the dealer(?) optional 'fender birds'.

Here is a link to better pictures of them: http://www.muttonhollowchevys.com/1956-Fender-Birds_p_245.html

Here's the one we've been driving since I finished it around 1988 in Illinois. It's been all over the midwest, around Lake Michigan twice, east, and south. Like me, it's gettin old and tired.
