We just picked this up in phoenix az.
Was told by the guy we got it from that he got it about 15 years ago in Chicago, Ill. He told me he got it from the guy that had it painted in about 1958 or 1959. He told me the guy had raced it for awhile and then put the headlights back in it and raced on the street some and then parked it around 1961 or 1962. Thought that somebody on the H.A.M.B. here might recognize it. If you have any info please let me know.
The rims that are on it are some that we had laying around just to transport it. He told me that it had ET II's on the front 15 x 4 and Western rims on the back 14 x 8. If i could find a picture of it that would be the way i put it back together. He told me that it had a 283 chevy with tarantula intake 750 holley and 4 speed.
    Thanks for any info
    Rob

What a find! The '53 Stude is one of the most beautiful body styles of all time... IMHO

That thing is garbage. Drop it off at my house and I'll scrap it for you. Heck, I'll give you $100 for scrap. Nice find.

  12. Seems like paint in that style wasn't a trend until the mid to late '60s, but I could be wrong there.
