Hey bros...good to see you guys last night at Kimballs in the vette.. 3 window looks amazing. Can't wait to see it. The shine is blinding me!

 

Good to see you zipperhead Mike, your car is looking better every time I see it. The door panels came out awesome!

 

Thanks Nate, did you notice the mileage? Old motor out, new motor in at 32,666

 

Funny yes I did notice the 666 but didn't really notice the 32! I guess it was just its time! That means it needed a "wicked" upgrade!

 

Well?...... Did that sucker fire up?

 

Oh Yeah! Dave came down yesterday morning. Fired right up! Got the cam broken in. It sounds really good. Dave took me for a thrill ride, the motor pulls like a bastard! We were having trouble starting it when it got hot, we either have a weak starter and/or battery. We had some trouble with the clutch disengaging right, couldn't get it into reverse. Then when I went to drive it, we heard a wicked noise. We found out what that was pretty quick, see pic. So,,, we had some good news/bad news..

 

Hey easy now don`t get people wanting to race him it`s just a good running mill, nothing fancy except for the all the chrome, It will be much better if he gets a new carb and gets rid of the petronix just saying..... I`ll be up when your ready got a few things left to do.

 

She's finally on the ground ....for a few hours anyhow.

Back to work !!!

 

The coupe looks great,sits good to.

LOL I couldnt do that I did break it everytime i drove so i got fired They put a few miles on it and so far so good, when there done vacations and weddings they may get it done sucks having domestic duties you been to any shows lately Keith?

Went to Milltown yesterday. Hot as hell, but it was a good show and always great to see my CT buddies!

Well fellers, today was the day. I drove the coupe home!!! Spent all day Saturday and today working on the last few details. Getting the clutch dialed in, re-doing the exhaust manifolds, installing the carpet, boots and kick panels.
Man O' Man what a blast to drive...fresh motor, 4 speed, new front end and steering column just to mention some of the new stuff !!
I just can't say enough about my bro Scott (327-365hp) Without him none of this would have been possible. He gave up almost all of his weekends since last Nov. till now and worked on it week nights without me as well !!
I also have to give a shout out to Dave50 at Dave's Auto Machine in Fitchburg who re-built my motor, then helped us drop it in and after we got it ready came back to fire it up and break in the cam. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and would encourage anyone in the area to as well !!!

Well.. I miss that car already, it sure was nice having two deuces in my garage! That one drives soo nice now with that Corvair front end out of there and a 4 speed in it. Gotta work on my car next.

 

It looks awesome, Brett...I can't wait to see it.

You and Scott did a kick a$$ job, you should both be proud...job well done!!!

 

Thanks Keith, I sure learned a lot. We'll both be at the drags in Fitchburg on Sat. and Ty-Rods on Sunday. Praying for a great weekend !!!
