Alex, fuck that car up. Awsome to start with such a clean car. You don't need to waste time patching up rusted out panels. Keep the update pics comming.

Sometimes (even if you're in the right) if you're responding to the drama your post will get deleted. I would think it's just easier for the mods to wipe out all of the drama than to just clean up the negatives. I'm glad I missed the drama.

Wow. As it sits right now, that thing is just plain beautiful. Can't wait to see it finished. FWIW those eight lugs look damn nice with the trim rings and white walls.

Hide the gas filler in the fin like a '57 Chevy.

Your before/after pics are looking promising.

Agreed! See if this makes 'em see the light...

Really like the mods so far, a great cleanup that brings out the beautiful lines of the car. I was kinda hoping you'd decide to get rid of the "Bonneville" lettering on the side by metal finishing the holes in that big stainless molding (is that even possible???) which would retain more Bonneville identity and keep it from looking too much like a long-ass Catalina (however, that's not necessarily a bad thing!)

Replacing the musclecar tires with those perfect WWs improved it about a billion percent!

Holy hell... I never thought I would love that car... But I do. It would be really hard for me to panel paint that one. It looks so clean and crisp in that stark white. VERY modern. I love it how it sits...

Great stance. I love it dumped. Is it bagged? I don't care what the popular kids say, I don't mind early 60's cruisers with bags on em.

That thing feels more like a cadillac than a pontiac!

It's perfect the way it is Alex. Wheels and all. God forbid someone uses '"incorrect" wheels on a custom!!

But go give a panel job to something that needs it. This doesn't.

my marginal attempt at getting rid of the taillights. I don't know where to put them now, maybe cast some the shape of the chrome part of the fin? anyway, you will figure it out and it will be a knockout.

  24. Looks really good Alex and yes that gas door sticks out like a sore thumb now and needs to go. I am with some of the others and am not sure about the panel job but I am sure it will be killer.

Looks good. I think the tail lights as they are look too much like a 62-64 Chevy, so I am looking forward to your changes. I like it in white.

Picking up on Monty's taillight-ectomy, how 'bout '59 Bonneville/Star Chief lights? Different but still keeps it in the Bunky Knudsen-era Poncho stable...
