Great shot, fleet. That blast furnace is probably as old as your ride! Having spent most of the last 40 yrs in a steel mill, I think I just found my new wallpaper, thanks!

Glad you enjoyed the pic, guys. The blast furnace is from the now abandoned Bethlehem Steel. You have to wonder if the hot rod has any steel in it that was made here. The odd thing is that, right on the flip side of those furnaces, is a sprawling arts & entertainment complex. The city is utilizing all of the myriad buildings that once served one of the greatest steel companies in the world. It's pretty wild, but a bit strange to see this transformation over the past 40 years or so.

This is my favorite pic. It was taken at just the right time when the sun peered through a hole in the maquee.

Both of these pictures put a big smile on my face!

The first one because I love "driving down the road" shots. I've been to a zillion cars shows and there are so many cars that I don't even acknowledge, focusing on only what I really like. But when I see one of those cars I ignored before driving down the highway I always smile and give a thumbs up (although the one pictured below would not have been passed over!).

The second photos is just a couple guys having a blast in a hot rod. How could anyone look at that shot and not think it would be a good time!

  16. it isn't a "hotrod" really, but it's a pic i like. an old flame took this photo of me leaving her house on a hot summer day in my '62 Ranchero. It was taken with a 1950's Brownie Hawkeye camera on black 'n white 120 film i had given her. I just love the picture cause i can tell that i loved that truck, and i loved that girl.

    Here's a couple of mine.

The first one was taken at the Spring Nats, just after I bought it. I saw an original one & parked alongside to get a comparison.
The second was taken after new paint & stuff.

I'm kinda partial to this one. Taken while on a road trip in Texas in 2011.

    Lucky__1974,
Is this your 35? Wow, that's nice. The HAMB needs more photos of this.
