Hot Rods Sometimes I whack it in my garage

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dirtyest Devil, Jul 21, 2012.

  1. I whack it in the house too! Hahhaaa...

Couple shitty pics of the 1934 Ford sedan chop. Some more whacking is taking place soon. Bout another inch or two. I had to quit for day and 3 3/4 inches was enough for a perfect sedan body.

I looked for some pics of heavily chopped 34/33 sedans and didn't find a lot. Oh well, I'll put a few up of the car as it comes back together. It always nice to look around here before or while you whack it. Happy whacking peoples!

Shitty I phone pics comimg up...

  3. Its a hard place to take a picture. A few of these I was standing on a roadster body stuffed in a corner trying to get a pic. It also rained yesterday so the garage doors are shut. Shitty light, but I do look more handsome in my garage.

There's a few pics of Suzanne Williams' '34 sedan being chopped in that Robert Williams book- (the one more about him and his cars) Have you seen that?

  10. Have you worked out how you will deal with the reveal around the quarter windows?

New Rules! ...If you post pics of a badass car, you must give the wheel and tire sizes...

are those 18's in the back?...inquirin' minds...

*** EDIT *** I just blew up the pic and those rear tires look like the new 18" Indy tires from Coker...yes?

Regarding: I whack it in my garage.....
Reminds me of the time my 63' Vette' wouldn't start in my (1 car)
garage (Around 1972). I killed the battery trying to start it and decided to push it back out of the garage and jump start it. Unfortunately, as I pushed backwards from inside the car ...I didn't close the door in time. I found out the hard way what happens to fiberglass when you hit the garage with the car door.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

  28. Larry, those are 18's in the rear. Tires can from Vern Hammond. Picked them up at Lars one year. My buddy Roy was already dragging some things home, like my old T, and a early Caddy V8. So I was lucky enough to buy them cheap, and already had shipping locked down.

Verne said he liked the look but wound up sideways one day in the rain.

I have the old wire fronts from my 32 on the 34 now just for rollers. I have a bad front wire which I've yet to exchange for my 32. The 34 came with a nice set of 16's. So I robbed the 16's of this sedan so I could run the roadster around. 32 looks cool with the 16's on ittoo.

The 18's were meant to go on my belly tank project which is years from completion now with a 2 year old. Maybe he'll get to do 200 mph someday. Me, Im stuck at 137.

  29. YES YES YES!!! Looking sick!

I had a tough time finding a chop I liked. There was a light blue one that these guys posted, and then dissappeared. I had saved a pic, but computer crashed and I couldn't find it here. It was a real faded light blue with a heavy chop.

I'm taking one more inch out, if not happy... I'm going for another!
