Pipe bending in San Jose

    Need a shop that can bend some tubing to build some handlebars for a motorcycle in San Jose

    It's 1-1/4" inner diameter with a 1-5/8" outer diameter

    Will a muffler shop bender mild steel with a 3/16" thick wall

    Sean does a ton of fab work, rock crawlers, suspension, etc. Thats why I suggested contacting him. Just give him a phone call and ask.

    I second this recommendation. He always has hot rods/kustoms in his shop having work done.

    Might also add that your looking to bend TUBING, not "pipe" (at least, I hope not). I know that sounds like me being a grammar nazi, but there is a major difference in the two. Tubing is measured by it's outer diameter, pipe is measured by it's inner diameter and wall thickness is measured by it's "schedule". In other words, a tubing bender won't bend pipe very well, and a pipe bender won't bend tubing very well.

    I've got big hands but I don't think they would fit handle bars that big very well. What are you trying to build that you are using structural pipe rather than tubing?
