Anyone use or have experience with radiators from Superior Radiator Co. in Mount Clemens, Mi.? I'm looking at their aluminum stock style 2 row '32 rad.
Thanks Dane. Being here in Canada, I'd just like to make sure it fits and functions properly. Returning things is a real hassle. They have been in business quite some time and their prices are good and shipping is reasonable.
Have been usin Charlies radiators for over 7 years, probably bought @ least 25 or so. Never had a problem. Not like the cheepes on fleabay from China- Pure JUNK
I have purchased two of them from Charlie. Very good quality and the price is reasonable. I will buy from him again if the need arises.
I had one when I first built my T. It worked great until my accident. If I needed one, I'd go back with them. Price was good and it came well packaged.
I just spoke with Charlie at Superior and after reveiwing my needs went ahead and ordered my rad. He is a very pleasant fellow to deal with. I look forward to receiving the rad and installing it.
Charlie is a great guy, and is great to deal with. I ordered a radiator for my truck, and realized that it would need to be altered to fit properly, Charlie just made me a different radiator to replace the one I had bought at no charge, even though it was a mistake on my end when I ordered the radiator in the first place... I was floored. I have had it in my truck for 3 years now, and have not had an issue, and it cools great. I have sent several people his way, and would not hesitate to order from him again.
I'm really looking forward to receiving it. I called Charlie back to see if he could send it USPS here to Canada. That's the only way he ships it. He knows all about the "other" carriers brokerage fees etc. I'm happy so far and I've already mentioned them to other folks!
He custom built one for me,it has worked good for some time now. Shop is just a hole in the wall(ols time shop) but they are good people to work with. I think you will be happy Russ
I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Still waiting to get it, I am having some problems with shipping but it seams like it is a ups issue, I hope. Charlie has been good to deal with. Very excited to get it for my 50 sedan. If everything looks good, I'll be getting one for my model A.
When I was talking to Charlie today he mentioned a lost one by UPS. I hear this more than I like about "carriers". I hope it is found and you find it works as it should and if not Charlie and UPS make it good which I believe they will.
I'm sure it will get worked out. I found that some things are out of your control and you just need to make the best of it so I am trying not to stress out. I just miss driving my car. The stock radiator's top tank split from the body the day after I ordered the new one. I hate when my cars get dusty from sitting in the garage.
I have one for my 31 coupe, the quality is good, the price is great, I was, however, disappointed that it didn't fit a 30/31 shell like I was told, it was too narrow for the width of an original shell. I haven't ran it though
He does have a website. No prices but as many are custom that's understandable. http://www.wwwsuperiorradiator.com/home Nice looking workmanship.
I've had one of his custom built ones in my "T" for years. Very good. The shop IS old but the work is top notch.
I think you already got your question answered but , GREAT TO DEAL WITH have had good luck with all the ones I bought from them!!
Have had a 5 core brass/copper one they custom built for me in my 41 Chevy since 1994. Yep I like them.
Received mine he other day. After scaring myself thinking i didn't fit and find out I was wrong. It's a nice rad. I'll know more once I fill it and run it. Happy so far!
