This is going to be my wife's new daily driver. It will be leaving California headed to Alabama in the morning. Maybe she will join the HAMB.
56premiere, I think we are going to drop a few inches. She wants to do some custom paint, I guess it is too much pink. Other than that we are just going to drive it.
Hmm, in 'Bama and she wants air....Imagine that!! Cool big cruiser, nice to look down on all those rice rockets on the road these days.
Very nice! Gotta love any road race Lincoln! Parts are pricey, it's an old Lincoln thing I guess. AC... Two ways to go, factory AC on those was trunk mounted and vents were in the headliner. Setups exist but are stupid money. I'd go with a repro Mark IV under dash myself.
Yeah,i need air in both of mine, they are black.i have an original air set up complete.i love the look of the tube in the rear window. But i think i,ll probably go with later stuff.Vintage air was offering one for the trunk, but didnt have the tubes, maybe i could make something up.my 56 has been in the body shop for over a year, but is getting jammed today,it is black.I do interiors so when i get it back i'll do it red.good luck with yours
Why can my wife not want a car like that as a daily driver!?!? I guess it's just as well....maybe a little impractical with two young'ins. Anyway, congrats, absolutely love it. Ditto on smarg's question....still got that Y-Block? I love my 272.
The trick isn't even the tubes, it's running the vents in the headliner and finding the headliner air outlets for the cars, that's the tough part. I have seen one in operation.. they take a while to cool off when it's hot outside but once the tubes and vents cool down they are really nice setups, you have cold air blowing down from the roof and the car stays VERY comfortable inside.
Well i have every part including the roof vents and tubes, just can't decide.Sorry if we hijacked this thread, but i love these lincolns. The op has a beauty
