I remember trucks coming through my home town back in the 70's in the summer when we stayed at my Grandmother's house. She'd come running out to tell us to come in and not breathe it. Thank God she did.

The farmers market pix are on the (current) site of a giant Safeway store at Market and Church in SF. In the center one of that set S&C Ford can be seen in the back round, across market. S&C was the oldest Ford dealer in continuous operation in the US, and was the last USA built car dealer in this city, until it closed last year.

The old Custom House Museum in Monterey Bay. First built in 1814 and finished in the late 1840s. The street is long gone now and it's park of a plaza in front of Fisherman's Wharf.

I was stationed in Monterey while in the Navy in 1985 and got to go back there on a vacation last year. Beautiful city.

Not so sure about that one. Tenvoorde Ford in St Cloud MN has held that record for many years.

In 1903 Stephen Tenvoorde headed east to check in with another start up, Henry Ford. "He went to Detroit with a friend of his and signed the franchise," Tenvoorde says. "At that time he was the second person to sign the Ford franchise. The initial signer one month earlier sold out and no longer was in the business."

Tenvoorde Ford has been in business ever since, making it the oldest Ford dealership in the world.

The famous Aquarium used to be down by the pier as well. Being from Manhattan Beach I spent a lot of time in this area...swimming in pool at the Biltmore!

Because he had the good taste to know that red would clash with the car's colors.
