Still a few little jobs to do but wont stop me driving it. Need to get the 6 2 setup finished and fitted, some more trim, fit tray cover and upholster it.
Other than that its all fun from here on.

283 small block , t 400 auto, winters magnesium quickchange. 36 rear bones A model rear spring and cross member. Did it all at home in my shed except for the seat covers and hired a paint booth for the one day paint job.

  2. You must be stoked. Great stuff man, (see ya on the FX/J forum).

  4. Great job Troy, the pickup turned out awesome.
20 years of collecting and building really paid off.
Now drive the wheels off it.

Congratulations! The gold on white is one of my favorite color combinations. The whole thing looks great! Although, I don't want to embarrass you or anything, but you put the steering wheel on the wrong side! :D

Absolutely beautiful. So many builds that take this long to complete end up featuring multiple trends. This does NOT fall into that catagory. Great job!

I wasnt really 20 years build it was 20 years from buying the first part. I have worked on it, off and on in that time but only when time and money allowed. There is also 1 marriage, one divorce 3 kids, re married and now 2 more kids in that same time. Also finish 1st house then build new workshop at 2nd house, now ready to knock down and build new house. We are going to live in the workshop while the new house is being built. As a result the hot rod will be stored off site but not far away, so it will be easy to get in it and cruise regulary.

I have only got real serious with this since september 2010. However the picture in my head hasnt really changed in the 20 years so i am pretty bloody happy with how it has turned out.
