Facebook is the worst festering open cancerous puss ooozing tumor that has ever grown on our society. HAMB is definitely NOT Facebook. Speaking of...Facebook, myspace, etc. are banned in our household. I don't let the kids or even visiting family members or friends access that shit, at least not from my house.

His wife wants to tell the Hamb is an addiction, because he spends much time on the site as many do on facebook, and she's right, the Hamb is a healthy addiction compare to the facebook jungle...
I have known many people who love hot rods through facebook, people of my country as well as other countries, I do not think facebook is a total crap, there are people who make a photo album of your life, well I do not care ... Like every day in Hamb people put their projects or tells a story and shows pictures of a meeting, also some of this can be seen on facebook, many members of the Hamb have facebook ...

 

A few years ago after being on here I got to thinking this place was a big time waster (even if informative). But after being exposed to Facebook I'm thinking this place is more like attending graduate school in comparison. When everyone is comparing the relative virtues of different brand hemiroid creams and rushing out to get a certain brand because a Facebook "friend" swears by it it's time for this guy to move on. I always though women were big gossips but the worst I ever encountered couldn't hold a candle to the generic Facebook user

this does have an addictive pull though, and when i read the title it really rang a bell. i got rid of my cell phone for similar reasons and i found i like it better. with a cell phone, your time is never your own. if you don't answer it when it rings, then your explaining to someone why you did'ent pick up. i still have it for long trips. but thats it. i've never texted, i don't understand why people do,teenage girls seem to love it. i see family members spending so much time on myspace,then facebook and doing not a whole lot of anything elce. now someone points out the similarities of the hamb and i think he may be right. sure we have a common focus, but i sure have a strange duped feeling going on. maybe duped is the wrong word, but i definitely feel i've slipped a bit from my knowingly planed simple life. i never want to be one of those people who are in the room or in the car with you, but there not really there.
