I've used Auto Loc, it was pretty user friendly. I had to modify it a bit for my application. The instructions were kind of week, but anybody with some basic mechanical aptitude should be able to handle it.
i remember rocky hinges and they looked easy to install , they are attached to square tubing...so alignement is already figured out...dont know if they are still in business ??

there's a guy that sells plans for making your own on ebay I got the plans, pretty simple, but didn't need for project so don't know how they work
best way is to rino line the outside of the door, replace the windo with lexan and hinge it at the bottom.. so you pull the handle and she just slams to the ground and you got a right handy ramp to walk down.

I have Hagen hinges on my '35 sedan.They went on ok, adjust pretty good and are plenty strong. I did them in 2002...still going just fine.
Alex, Say what you really mean... I have Hagen on my '47 chevy pick up. Pretty beefy and very smooth.

I put a kit from Windsor Fabrications on a clients 40 Chevy coupe. The quality was good but the directions well.....sucked. I ended up going by a poorly drawn diagram they had provided and made my own directions. Doors hang nice, no sag and adjust easy. I got the kit at www.yogisinc.com . Never mind the billet stuff they sell, they are good people to do business with.

I used 55 F100 on my rear doors and 41 DeSota on the front doors, just got to find the right junk yard.
I thought the hinge bushings were pretty loose on a set of Auto-Loc I had to deal with. They also had the Chinese mystery metal look and feel to them.
i have used mitsa bishi van door hinges on six rod builds and they work just fine and the door locks as well just keep the pins in line weld a piece of box to the back edge at the space you need and bobs your uncle :
