Remember Paige Baker

Does anyone remember racing with my father, Paige Baker? He was quite well known in East Alton, IL. Besides owning and driving his midget, #68, he built race engines for many a customer in the basement of our family home.

He was well known in the midget race car crowd,and also drag racing. He was rrelated[brotherinlaw/] to John Storey, who owned Alton Dragway. John had him work on his race cars,and drive them too. The cars included CONFUSION 34 roadster, Mitchels Coffin 23 roadster,and various other projects like a BOSS429 Mustang.Several guys in the FAT BOYS OF ILLINOIS club have stories of him I have heard.perhaps I could give you a few leads.Send a PM, Dick
