Hello out there. I just bought a 1964 Impala 4-door hardtop and can't wait to start rodding it out. All my family and buddies are more into the traditional style or just going with a something new out of a dealer. I'm on my own with this one, but cant wait to start. Its got a 283 matched to a 2 speed auto. Interior and exterior have some rough spots but overall its not in too rough of shape. Step one is to get her able to do longer car trips for some car shows. Any ideas from the veterans out there for some starting points? Ill try and post some pics once I figure this thing out.
Welcome aboard I would start with Brakes, tires, fuel system (tank, lines, filter) then cooling system (rad, flush the motor new hoses ect...) thats the important stuff.
I appreciate the warm welcome fella's. I look forward to learning and one day passing my found knowledge on.
