That Chrisman Comet running on nitro was something I'll never forget. Thanks for posting!

 

Thanks for the great shots...looks like fun was had by all.

 

The race was an absolute success, great field of cars and a packed grandstand. Great pics you posted, there will be more pics and videos coming soon courtesy of SlickWilly. That Comet came all the way from Tennessee, nothing like seeing an original nitro direct drive car making a pass. Also a big thanks to Oxford Dragway for letting these cars actually make passes and not just sit pretty in the pits.

Surfer Ed, Thank you for the nice picture. I have to echo the sentiments of everybody else...This event was GREAT. Thanks to Oxford Dragway, Ray Helger, and everyone else involved in making this a real special event. I have some pictures I will post later, and I hope others will be adding their photos as well.

 

I have to agree with everyone that this was a fantastic event, I felt I was back at my first drag race in 1964, the cars were so real and authentic. Thanks to everyone involved, my first trip to Oxford was a fantastic experience.
