Picked up the roadster from the trim shop yesterday and did a 200km trip home. This was the first major test and it drove great.Definitely needs a roof for long trips. Now it is in the garage and ready for a clean up before heading off to Brunswick Heads run next weekend. It can keep company with the Hudson and Riviera. Thanks to Warren(Toowoomba Hot Rod Shop),Michael the painter,Lindsay Houston for mixing the colour,Rob from Trimtastic, and Trevor who built the engine. I had everything done in Toowoomba which minimised the risk of moving the car around to other places. here is an earlier post on the build. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=615030&showall=1
Aside from the steering wheel on the wrong side, that car is perfect ! (Ok, you knew someone had to say it and it was my turn. ) Your roadster is not just nice, it is spectacular. Love the color. Try 28 front 24-26 rear. Don
WOW! Perfect color, channelled, white T&R, full wheel covers, and cycle fenders! Wait till Frank sees this, hes gonna pop a nut! Hell, I think I just did! How about some nice photos outside, so we can really see it? DAMMN!!! Man, that head on frontal shot is better than porn!!
I was thinking the opposite. Why does no one build them here in the states? I would drive the crap outta one... Talk about being different! Awesome cars by the way. I am jealous
That is super mate! That just reinforces I need to paint my Aussie Tub Gold, like I planned. Whos paint and name?
The base coat was a champagne gold and the top coat a Suzuki motorbike gold with about 80% pearl(standard).I will get some more details on numbers later. The combo was devised by Lindsay Houston from LDI Kustoms. He always comes up with a winner.
Paul A 60's influenced build. And its stunning. Some outside pictures would be great seeing its a nice day, and a couple of it with the Hudson. But I expect you are out driving around in it You have the best of both worlds, a 60's Roadster and an early 50's Custom.
