How do I shorten a stock 52 chevy column (pics needed)

    Pretty much in the title. I searched and found some help, but no pics. Would like to see how some of you did it. Thanks for any and all help.

    It "seems" to me , the 53-54 columns are already shorter, and a direct bolt-in. Plus, you get integral turn signals. The entire steering box/column assembly needs to be swapped however. Butch/56sedandelivery.

    There is a kit on the market that works pretty slick, I bought mine from CPP. Its called a column saver. You disassemble the column, cut the outer tube to length, insert the end bushing, and then there are two locking collars, one in front and one behind the bearing in the bushing. You can make the column as short as you want.
