I almost feel like driving Jess' car so you don't laugh at what the rain did to my bare metal hood this morning.... FTW...

Damn that was fun! But where was "No show Nick"? I even took photos of the puddles on the ground so I can remember what it felt like next year when the tempratures are aproaching that of the sun!

Man, What a great day on the 4th! Tempuratures in the 70's and 80's, overcast and a good bit of light rain. That beat hell out of the scorching, 100-110 degree, melon baker temps that we usually deal with for this gig. I think this is one of the few cases where overcast and rain may have actually brought more people out.

We had a great turn out, lotsa nice folks, lotsa new (and welcome) faces and lotsa bitchin' machines (even had some motor bikes). good fun all around. Our thanks to everyone who showed up, especially to those who brought their machines.

I saw quite a few cameras there, so I hope someone can post some pics here (Spike?). I managed to find time and snap a few shots on my new-fangled, digital picture takin' box, I'll try to get some posted soon.

Thanks again to all who showed, see ya next year!

  13. Cool Mike!! I can’t wait until you figure out how to get the photos out of that little bastard; it’s easier to change the jets in the carb.

  17. Thanks for the picks! Is this Howard’s 500 cad powered Pontiac 1960? I have some picks somewhere when he just put the mill in this car, great looking heap!

I cant believe its been 7 years. I remember his 50 birthday party at his house when he got up on the roof and mooned the croud! We always thought he would die of skin cancer from his long trips in the yellow roadster with no top.

I got the engine for my 49 cad from Larry. He was going to put it in his chopped & sectioned 48-49 Buick he was building. He decided I believe on a nail head for the Buick, then he got sick. He was a great Hot Rodder! He would drive the yellow roadster from Phoenix to Washington with no top every year after the Roadster Show.
