The beauty of the internet - you can discover and rediscover great music that's been over looked for several generations.....

I thought I was a little wierd for liking the 'Big Band' sound, since it was really my parents' music. My true favorite type of music is early rock and roll - stuff from the mid-1950's. There is a local public radio station that plays the mid-50s music on the weekends and Big Band during the weekdays.

It is run by volunteer DJ's and they sometimes 'mess-up', but no commercials, not a lot of talk and no stupid 'call-in' games, just music. If you are of the age that remembers when a '54 Ford was new you will probably like their day time format, and you can find them on the internet here:

Warning - Sunday mornings until noon is church services, and I don't know the evening format.

Warning #2 - Friday night is Polka after 6:00 PM EDT

This isn't O/T, who builds a car with the radio off?

  16. I don't normally care for that, but I couldn't take my eyes off of that routine. Not only were they incredibly limber but also incredibly strong. And by today's standards, incredibly thin....:D

The Ross Sisters video made me think about the Seinfield episode where Jerry is dating a Russian gymnast and Kramer puts a bug in his ear after showing him a video of her performance.

Wow!!! Just loved that Boogie Woogie video. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Thanks for posting.
