Projects New Project - '47 Coupe!!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Harrison, Jul 18, 2011.

  1. Not traditional?? I remember an article on Jim Jacobs when he was restoring the Niekamp special and was putting a flathead back in it and Bill Niekamp couldn't believe he wasn't going to use a newer V-8 with more horsepower, because that is what hot rodding in the old days was all about. Traditional look, no. Traditional thinking yes. Love the car. Should make a great hiway pounder. Pat

Good to see what you've been up to. When you get it done I should trade you for your old '38 back and save you from this non-traditional road your traveling.:rolleyes::D:D

  7. Lovin' this coupe. I had a 46 Ford 2dr Sedan.. but it just wasn't a coupe. The 47 will look real good, parked next to your El Camino.

  8. Getting closer...

It's running. Just finishing up a few little things. Door glass, stereo, etc.....

I hope to have it here soon. I plan on driving it to Louisville.

Looking good Jim. When you get the bugs worked out, cruise it down our way some friday evening. I'd love to park my '46 stocker beside it just to mess with people... :D

Looks rad :) though I've got to admit I've been trying to figure out how you ever got those back wheels in there or how you'll get them out haha. Looks to be a 29-30 inch tall tire? And fairly wide at that.
