heres whats left of stuff in the shop. Can you tell which picture is the 2x4 intake and carbs. Anyone who has built a hemi has thought their engine stand was going to look like the one in the picture.

That was a hot fire, are you going to be able to salvage any of it?

Homeowners will cover some of the parts, but only to a limit of $1000 or $1500 typically. The rest needs to be under the car policy.

Glad to hear you were finally allowed back in. Again, let me know if you need anything, I am not too far away.

It must have been really hot, I spoke with a couple of people, the crank grinder seemed to think the motor could be saved but the 2x4 is just a powdery memory.

Every time I've built an early hemi I thought this would happen to the stand.

The house burned even hotter fed by the propane tank, one of my other hobbies is reloading rifle and pistol cartridges so it was noisy as well I imagine.

The policy was written 15 years ago and does cover some stuff, but I expect stupidity is gonna hurt.

God I fucking hate bushfires, sorry for your loss. I found its better to keep looking forward after loosing everything like that, Its hard but try not to dwell on what is gone.

Its never right. I lost alot of stuff in a fire back in mid seventies and what you get is pennies on the dollar, and you have to fight like rocky balboa to get that. Insurance companies never lose, they take and never give back. So sorry for the loss. I pray it gets better for you.

  30. I really hate it for you. Fire is one of my biggest fears because a lot of my stuff is out in the country away from a fire department.Just keep thinking of what you saved and don't dwell on what could have been. I hope your future yields a much better fate.
