Check your emails Chad. Thanx guys - she's still in the hospital and probably heading for a rehabilitation place soon - it'll probably be weeks before she can come home, but showing some improvement..

Guys, thanks for your prayers and concerns about my wife - she's improving a bit every day now

  7. An update on my T project. Headed down to Austin to assist Mercury Charlie on building out the floors of the T mid-July. Gonna do a four-day thrash and hope to knock out the transmission tunnel, trunk and floors. Should be fun, messy and a learning experience all rolled into one. Here are a few shots of the body and frame. Will post more as the project progresses.

That Body is in great shape!!!

  9. Yeah, it took me a couple years to find the body. Bought it from restorer in Iowa. The car had sat for twenty-plus years in a shed in AZ. The guy wasn't a hot rodder and he made me swear that I wouldn't chop it. No chance of that happening. This sucker is staying tall.
    Here's what I'm shooting for:

Does this thread include those who are gathering parts for a T build? I got a 27 T roadster body from HAMBer Johnnie C and have started rounding up parts.

I'm thinking I want to go something like the awesome Tardel built 27 roadster but maybe with a Ford 289 instead of a flathead. On a Model A frame, traditional front suspension but not sure whether 9" or banjo rear. I've had some cool 289 stuff I've hoarded for a long time, since the 1970s. My original inspiration comes from the T roadster in the old Disney "Shaggy Dog" movie.

Pics and build to come later on... this is my first actual hot rod build so it'll be a learning experience.

Just a place to let us know who is building a T and a chance to show off your stuff and anything T related I guess, is my view of this thread.

Heres a couple progress-type shots. I am doing the tin work for the floor. Since this thing is low the seats are on the floor, to get comfy i made pockets for cushions.
I still haven't joined the cowl and the rest of the cab - they are still seperate pieces so's i can take the sections apart for fitting and shaping. The major cab sections bolt to the frame and the interior panels cleco to the cab. I hope by next week i'll be able to join them up into a proper cab. I got a long ways to go.

  21. Those ass pockets are rad. Nice job, man!

  22. Hell, half the time I think I'm collecting more than building. Welcome.
Going after the floors in mid-July with my buddy and Mercury Charlie.
    Gonna get taken to school.

Here is my '26 T. I picked it up over the winter on a trade with a fellow HAMB'er. Been busy re-doing the interior and getting the mechanicals all squared away. The crowing jewel in the iterior is my sugar skull shift knob designed by David Lozeau (screen name Clysdale) and purchased from our very own Slimegreeeeeen.

That is one sweet T ya got there, bub. I like the color, kind of a rootbeer brown metallic. Looks like a Ford mill powering it too, awesome.

  29. Im restoring my 26 RPU. 60's built Barstow Ca car made its way to New Zealand last year where i saw it for sale less Hemi and 16'' wires, will now run SB Chev and reversed 46 wheels and keeping it in the 60's period. Check out my album for some pics.

  30. The Lozeau knob looks great in your T. Unless I'm mistaken, that car came from Austin, didn't it? Caddy mill? Thanks for the shout out on the knob. I hope you don't mind if we put it on our customer gallery. Keep up the good work on your T.
