First off id like to say thank you for all that came out. It was a blast.
Sorry it took so long to get these pics up here. Heres some coverage. Some pics I lost due to switching memory sticks in my camera.

**Disclaimer** Reverend Jack asks every person if they want the full beer blessing. We do not waste beer willy nilly

I must agree. There were some great looking cars there, but some others - not so much. Example: the custom Caddy (white and green) looked well done....and then it gets festooned with a bunch of useless "shark's teeth" all over, and the final insult is the non-relevant cobweb pinstripes on the trunk lid. I don't care what people do with their cars (this is a hobby of personalization, after all), but it's hard for me to appreciate some of this stuff. Porker walking around spraying beer on vehicles is a non-event to me.

  8. Not my cup of tea, but if you and your bud's had a good time and no one ended up in jail, nothing else matters.

  9. The club I belong to has a car blessing every spring. We get two "ministers" from the Chicago Police dept. to come out for donuts and coffee. One is a priest, the other a Rabbi. They joke around and tease each other, but, the joke is, that the priest will splash holy water on the hood and the Rabbi will circumcise your tailpipe.

And, on the comment about the cars at the event, this is a local event with cars that our club members DRIVE to neighborhood events and have FUN with. They are not "investments" or show cars.

This gathering is primarily a bunch of younger guys with a passion for older cars. As such money is limited and taste is optional :)

This is punk ass kids hopping up older rides, is that not what hot rodding was back in the day?

It’s not for the retired folk throwing money at trying to regain their youth, go to the shows that charge the public and the car owners if you want that.

bummed that I couldnt make it this year. Hopefully next though. Just got the Stude into daily driver mode last weekend, it wasnt a big fan of stopping until then.

Sucks that your memory card took a shit on ya. Looked like a good showing. Funny seeing that one guy drive off!

There really should be a disturbing content warning on this one. Opening this after dinner was not a good idea.....

Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Blessed: Not really officer. I know I wasn't speeding...
Cop: Son, do I smell alcohol?
Blessed: Well, I guess you maybe could... See...
Cop: How many have you had to drink today?
Blessed: Uh, none, sir, but my car has had a few...

I don't really get it, but at least it looks like everyone was having fun.

Do you have a pic of the rear of that 62 3/4 ton chevy pickup?,
I can't really figure out that rear suspension.

It was Rainier Beer, so it's probably better that they douched the cars with it rather than drinking it. I admit to having powered down a few in my time, but I was broke, in school and it was the 60's....

we used to have a blessing here in the valley, till some stupid no car having rockasilly kids fucked it up and the park ranger made sure we could never have one again. the one we had had a real catholic father bless the cars with holly water, not beer.

never had a ride given an intentional blessing of beer. did help put out a fire due to burning brake drum once with beer. at least Rev Jack gets plenty of the blessings.
