One of the top fuel teams (don't remember which one) had "Send lawyers, guns, and money" on the back of their car. Probably has to do with the last line of the Warren Zevon song.

I had on the rear of my Mini Cooper SCCA road race car:

I may be slow, but I'm ahead of you!

I remember an older (59 or so) corvette that said on the trunk in big letters, "When the yellow comes on, I will be gone".:D

And a certain 4spd 55 chevy that had, "I'd rather eat worms than drive an automatic" LOL.

Dude... that was the Three Stooges.

    Correction;
"Dewey, Burnham, and Howe" was used in an episode of the Stooges, not Cheatem. However, somewhere along the lines the name was changed to Cheatem on all the merchandising following the skit, such as posters, coffe mugs, etc.

The one I knew often drove a Corvette but was famous locally for pulling her brother out of his 409 Impala at the local hangout and calling out the guy in the car that just beat him and going out and blowing his doors off. If it had wheel on it she could drive it and usually better than the guy who owned it, especially her brother. Last I heard she had turned cowgirl and lived in north central Wa. She didn't have anything written on her cars though but was known to put herself up against a guys cash in a race.

When I worked for Frank Weaver Pontiac in Waco, Tx in the 70's my boss's son had a 69 Camaro super stocker convertible that had "Some men have become moderately wealthy drag racing, they were rich to begin with." I may have missed a word or two in the phrase but it pretty well says it all.

There is a time and place for everything, and first place aint for you.

Second place, is the first looser

Losers talk about luck, Winners go home an f*ck the prom queen.

That just from the top of my head.

I wanted to put a sticker on mine saying; Have you hat your ass kicked by a Volvo lately.
But that takes some wrenching ;-)

I'm having lettering done on the back of the Austin that reads, "not an Anglia!"
Seems everyone who looks at it asks me if it's an Anglia.

Knew a guy that had a 64 or 65 Plymouth that said "Sorry My Friend" on the back. There was always a story (and I've heard it from quite a few older guys) about a blond that street raced a 70's Vette here in Jersey with "If You Can Beat Me, You Can Eat Me" lettered on the back.

Some of you guys complain about spelling Nazis but this is an excellent example. If its spelled 'blond', thats a guy but if its spelled 'blonde', thats a woman.

  26. There use to be a woman in my area that had a rather quick Corvette that her and har husband built for street racing. On the back of her Vette it said "If you can beat me you can eat me"!

I really don't know if she ever got beat, but rumorville said that she did and supposively the car was never seen again.

  27. Olds Cutlas used to cruise here with "If God don't getcha this mutha will...".

  28. "Hey could ya give me a push?" I saw that on the back of an altered at a car show once.

On the back of Pat and Walt Austin's Alcohol Funny Car, "you can't put a price tag on a good time!"

It was my HAMB tag line before this thread. :)

I remember an all steel turtle deck T with 14x15 rear meats.

It had "Here, Kitty Kitty" on the back.
