yes, it looks a bit cleaner,
same parts pretty much but different configuration

I picked up one of those top plates a while ago and have been thinking of doing something with it

    thanks!

If you use extra long throttle shatfs on the right side carbs, you might be OK without it, but if you use the "add on" shaft extender-or just want to be safe - you need a bar on the left side that supports all four throttle shafts. Some had bushings, some had bearings. I don't have a pic handy right now, but if you look around you'll find them.

BDS has a couple good pictures on their site and in their catalog. It is hard at first to hook all that up and index everything
Roperly on the splined shafts. Make darn sure your throttle cable does not go "over center" or you will be in for a very exciting ride that ends witha load in your trousers!

we will see how well it works shortly
at roughly 160 cfm (these are 48s) each this setup has close to the same cfm rating as the single 4 that was on there
of course it had secondaries and this will be all barrels operating in unison
so it should act quite a bit different

one thing I didn't notice was the air cleaners I have bump into each other
if I use them they will need to be modified

    no big deal

    well she runs,
need to mount the fuel log, it's just hanging by some bailing wire,
I couldn't wait to hear it

just back from a short romp around the block
runs pretty good but does need some tweeking to fine tune it
idles a bit high and it could be a bit smoother too

something happened to the audio in the vid, the reving at the start came from nowhere?

it definately has more power, no doubt gas mileage will be much worse
and to get all four carburetors to return nicely meant double springing
    so the pedal is stiffer

all in all very different than the single Edelbrock
    I think I like it

drove around for an hour os so doin the road tune
she is very well behaved, easy start and nice response
    no overheating or bad behavior
idle is still a tad higher than I like it,
it's at about 850 rpm warm
I will continue to fiddle with it while I drive it

Congrats man, looks super sweet! Sounds like you are having better luck than I did. I had three 94's on my blower and always had a hell of a time starting it, acted like the bowls drained down and acted like it was flooding every time I tried to start it. I finally gave up and went with the dreaded 4 barrel.
