Awesome thread, thanks for sharing. I love the HAMB, all the places I've been and things I've seen while never leaving home.

what a great thread , a really nice composition of photos and informative narration. Hopefully this will inspire some to do their own long distance road trip. After you've done one they become addicting .

In 2007 we met Ron on the road to Deuce, 5 Texans driving and he had his 3 window in an enclosed trailer and we ragged on him the rest of the way and while we were there. Next time I saw him was with the Rolling Bones and without the trailer. He took a real nice car,a high dollar car, and put it on the road. Not many will do that.

Yup, Trailers are no fun..... In the last 5 years I put over 55,000 miles on the Deuce. Its been in all of the lower 48 States but 4.
Right now we are stuck in Kerrville, Tx. with a broke Model A and it looks like rain.

Thank you, thank you, thank you ! It has been 9 years since I've been to the LARS. Previously, when my brother was living, I had never missed more than 2 years since 1972, I believe. This was a pretty good substitute.

We made it home Friday at 10:00 am after leaving Kerrville, Texas at 10:30 Thursday am. I had a problem with my feet after being in the desert for so long on Wednesday. I went to the foot doctor on Friday afternoon. I want to thank Steve for driving all the way home. The car had another fuel pump go out 90 miles west of Kerrville and the ignition module gave up so we had to get a tow to Kerrville. We had Summit next day air a new module, cap, rotor, and coil. We recevieved the parts at 9:00 am the next morning. I had a wonderful trip and hope to be able to go again maybe to bonneville next year in my new to me 34 ford coupe but I have to get my feet well first.
