Go to Vicks Hamburgers. Best hamburger in town! Mission shopping center on Ayers St. Sign in window tells when their cruise night is. Ask for George, "the Buick nut". Tell him Bill sent you. Speed shops and such, don't know if corpus christi even has one anymore. Lost our runway to drag race on after 9-11.
Hot and humid but white sand beaches and all that goes with them. Great Mexican food and superb fishing.
My hometown! No speed shops in CC. Car folk hang out on Friday/Saturday Nights at Vicks Hamburgers on Ayers Rd/SPID, or at A&W on Saratoga Blvd, but 95% of that is modern cars. On the last Friday of each month the big hot rod meet is at Snapka's Drive-In on Leopard St. It brings out the muscle cars and hot rods...usually a good turnout. Closest dragstrips are San Antonio Raceway in Seguin, and Edinburg International Raceway in Edinburg, both are about 2 hours from CC. As far as tattoos, Lucas Braly at Axis Tattoo, downtown Corpus...or Chris Lain at Pinnacle Tattoo on Airline Drive.
