need to do some more tweaking...the front end keeps poppin' up!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxsNTMpyPyI&feature=plcp
I am ready except I am making a Z gate for my collumn shift. I ran at Mokan last month and shifter from low to drive 3 times. I am going to make something so that even an old man can run through the gears without screwing it up. John
ha ha ha! it a handful for sure...but nothing more fun!! i stinking love your little nova! when i was 5 to 9 or 10 my folks had a '63 wagon. we lived in arkansas and drove that dude to southern calif each summer! i remember all the luggage strapped on top in the rack. had curtains in the windows and all!!! love those cars to this day!! looking forward to seeing your car.
lol you funny dave i'm surprised you remembered saying that. i guess you guys made it home ok. wish you could do joplin!
it's been a blast! bought the body with my paper route money when i was 12 yrs old(back in '72)! then kinda threw it together 10 yrs ago...if i'd a known it was gonna be this much fun i'd a put it together way before that.
ya i'll be at the hotel thur at some point. we're gonna drive our cars up so we can go for the yay-hoo cup!
I won't be racing it, because I'll be doing damned good at this point to have it there, but I am aiming to have my 59 Elky on the road for the 10th anniversary of the HAMB drags...
My little car is ready to go at a moments notice....As for me, every night when I go to bed, I think about the drags and my speed pedal leg starts shaking... See you in August. -Abone. PS. Organgrinder..your car is fucking nuts... I'll save you a beer..
I'm taking my car but I'm not gonna be racing so I'm not registering. I didn't go last year. Anybody know what the regular parking lot is looking like? Will I even be able to find a spot?
I still have a soft spot for these Dodge D-100's. I had three and everytime I see one I miss'em. There's a fellow here in town that has a shortbed fleetside he tows his racecar with. The truck runs 12's.
someone just sent me another video....taken from the spectator side. i'm still grinning from ear to ear!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBpN_N3jYDw&feature=share
here's a couple more pics from buckey bramlett. got a good close up of me at work! this was my only run in the spec lane.
Your not the only one grinning ,that was great ! You know it's time for the Hamb Drags when you see the grinder !
Hey Reggie, I aint sure how your planning on fixing that thing,,, Have you thought about a bigger engine and a 871, I believe that might weight the front end down just enough, hahaha awesome videos! Looking forward to driving beside you and theOrgangrinder 300+ miles to Joplin again Jason and DaChickenCoupe
Last year they roped off an area for hot rods and customs that were not racing...I`m guessing they will do it again this year.
I'll talk with mo kan man as we get closer, but yes I plan on roping off a special section in the grass pit side like last year
I never get tired of watching the Grinder run, Rodney! Missed out on BG this year, but I'll see you at the HAMB Drags and hopefully I got my converter right and can hit me some 11's this time.
Gotta go back! I'm thinkin about driv'in my old'69 Bonneville Ambulance/hearse if gas stays reasonable. I know it's a late model , but hey, its got cigarette lighters in the rear for the attendant and victim! Indy
let me see....austin ar.....must be my ol' buddy james!!!! seems like you're the one weighting your front end down!
